Here at Clover Country Farm our Hampshire sheep have been specifically chosen for their traditional, commercial qualities and traits as apposed to the newer, less productive show-type qualities that have become popular more recently.  This is an important distinction in choice and we are proud to say that we have been successful in this pursuit.

Our Hampshire ram , Hubbard 846-"Thumper", has been a very worthwhile investment in the quality of our flock.  We obtained them from Chauncey Hubbard of Oregon who has a long standing history of producing stock with the very same traditional qualities and traits that we are intentionally breeding for.  The qualities that we emphasize the most are fast growth on grass pasture, disease resistance, heartiness and a nicely finished hanging weight for market.

The wool from our Hampshire sheep is mostly used for felting, but we do process it as roving as well for hand spinning.
